Unused Frilly Vintage Pink Ribbonwork Shoe Stretchers, Ribbon Rosettes, Passementerie,
c. 1920's
Two layers of ruche pink ribbon adorn the middle of each stretcher. Each
is further decorated with ribbon rosettes, metallic gold braid interwoven with green
silk floss, plus purple and green velvet flowers, accented with embroidered French
knots. The wood ends are painted a pinkish lavender, that coordinates with the passementerie

Research
shows that Cyrus Clark originally created this lovely floral Wisteria chintz pattern
in the 1920's or 1930's, then it was reissued by Duralee in the mid 1980's. This
long length of true glazed chintz designer cotton dates to the 1980's, yet it looks
like it just rolled off of the bolt. The colors appear much as they did when new,
