Vintage Pendleton Round-up Stick Pin - Hard To Find
Vintage Pendleton Round-up Stick Pin - Hard To Find

Material:  Copper over Silver Base

Size:  Width ~ apx 3/4 inch,  Length ~ 2 & 3/16th inches

Quantity:  1

Vintage Pendleton Round-up merchandise is quite collectable, with jewelry items in general being rather hard to find.

Although this piece is somewhat hard to date we estimate apx. 1930's - 40's.

It is copper in color, over silver metal.   A cowboy riding a bucking horse decorates the center, surrounded by the words; Pendleton Round-up  Let 'er Buck.  Encircling the entire perimeter is a old rope or lasso.

This type of pin can be used for hats, lapels, vests, ties, jabots, etc.

It is in overall good vintage estate condition, with slight variation in color, most noteworthy to pin front, however this may even out with a light polish.   Additionally there is a  very slight kink in pin.  Nothing glaring or unexpected.  Please see images.

For those of you unfamiliar with one of our Pacific North West's  longest running traditions, the first Round Up took place September 29, 1910.  It was billed as; a frontier exhibition of picturesque pastimes, Indian and Military spectacles, cowboy racing and bronco busting for the championship of the Northwest.  The first rodeo drew 7000 people and has subsequently grown to be one of the 10 largest in the world, a truly International event that runs annually for seven days, during the first full week in September.
