A harder to find naturalistic example spoon from Mauser Manufacturing Company, featuring a very detailed leaf shaped bowl, with a tendril wrapped vine, or twig handle;  dating to the Aesthetic period, c. 1890s to 1903.

This fancy specialty spoon would likely have been used in the day for desserts, such as sorbet, sherbet, ice cream, parfait, or chocolate.

It is in exceptionally nice antique estate condition, commensurate with age, storage and careful use;  no dings, dents, repairs, monograms ,or other issues noted.

Records indicate silversmith Frank Mauser established the company c. 1887 in Attleboro Massachusetts. Shortly thereafter he moved the concern to New York, becoming well known for high quality, unique aesthetic Art Nouveau designs.  Later the business merged and was purchased by Gorham in 1913.
