We sell only antique and vintage jewelry. Our selection generally ranges in date
from the 1800’s to the 1950’s; occasionally we have pre-Georgian pieces and sometimes
we may offer a 1960’s or 70’s piece if it is particularly interesting, well made
or a desirable form, etc.
We do not sell new, or reproduction.
In our Estate Fine Jewelry category you will find gemstones, diamonds, pearls and
other valuable materials, as well as precious metals, such as sterling, gold, and
platinum. This is generally where you will find our antique pieces, even if the
material is pinchbeck or gold filled.
In our Collectible Jewelry category you may
also find antique pieces, however these will be manufactured from brass, copper,
porcelain, or other materials. You will also find crystal beads, rhinestone and
costume jewelry, as well as semi-precious stones.
If a piece of jewelry is not hallmarked,
as is often the case with Georgian and Victorian pieces, we perform two different
types of metal tests to determine material/content, frequently also getting an independent
jeweler confirmation.
We like to have GIA certified appraisals for items that are quite valuable and when
available, these documents will be forwarded with the purchase, at no extra cost.
Although we try to be very thorough in our descriptions and always supply several
pictures, if you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact
us, via the Navigation Bar link on every page.
