Fine Antique Handmade Bobbin Lace ~ 17th / 18th Century ~ Flanders, Flemish Style
The
lace shows a very interesting curly type pattern design that is closely worked, accented
with little eyes & the lower scalloped edge is decorated with tiny picots, all characteristics
very similar to 17th century Flemish & Milanese laces. To identify as specifically

Antique French Lace Making Pillow ~ Loom With Wooden Treen Bobbins, Bobbin Lace and
Storage Cupboard, 18th Century
A very interesting antique French, or Swedish lace
making table pillow, with built in storage cupboard, 25 wooded bobbins & small piece
of lace in the process of being worked. A professional lace maker advised that a
similar pillow is illustrated in the Diderot Encyclopedia, published in the 1700's,
dating this loom to the 18th century....more information

A really outstanding example of unused antique Leaver mill alencon lace, inspired
by French Alencon needlelace, but done in bobbin lace style and likely dating from
the Edwardian era to the 1920's. This lace yardage features a very fancy, dense,
cordonnet outlined floral motif with a variety of fillings, on a very fine hexagonal
