The antique and vintage linens we offer for sale are all individually selected, with
great attention paid to age, origin, quality and condition. This method is of course
more labor intensive and often more expensive than purchasing in bulk, a practice
seemingly prevalent on many linen web sites. We believe however, that this personal
attention is the only way to consistently ensure our customers the finest textiles.
We
are always searching for linens that meet our high standards, especially excellent
early American, French, Italian, German and other Continental and European examples,
in natural fabrics, such a linen, silk wool and high quality cotton. Unless textiles
are NOS, I clean and press everything. Also, all textiles are stored in a smoke
& pet free environment.
In our Boudoir and Bath Category you will find our currently
available selection of bedroom textiles, including sheets, pillowcases, covers, slips,
shams, layovers, blankets, duvet covers, coverlets, quilts, spreads, bolsters, pillows
and curtains as well as bath linens, such as cloths and towels.
In the Dining and Kitchen Category you will find tablecloths, tea , dinner and tray
cloths, doilies, centerpieces, place mats, napkins, coasters, towels, tea cozies,
pot holders and aprons.
The Parlor and Living Category includes antimacassars, doilies,
centerpieces, runners, table toppers, cloths, throws, piano shawls, drapes and pillows.
Other Linens and Lace Category includes miscellaneous textiles & linens, such as
handkerchiefs, hankies, fabric pouches, lingerie / night dress cases, glove & corset
bags, as well as laces, notions, collars, cuffs, jabots and similar items, which
may also be listed in vintage clothing, vanity & boudoir, or other categories.
