Charming vintage ephemera; unopened package of 48 paper placemats decorated with lush pink roses and wide pink scalloped border.

The placemats are in excellent, unused condition, having remained sealed in the plastic wrapper all of these years.  The wrapper has come open slightly at a side seam, but the mats do not appear to have been affected.  They are free of spots, stains, fading, moisture, bends, creases, etc., and really appear as new.

It is a little hard to date such an item, because packaging was often very similar for years, but I would estimate as early as the 1940,’s to the 1960's.
