This antique frosted satin glass perfume nestles in the original French Ivory holder,
apx. c. 1900-10. This set is a little out of the ordinary due to the triangular
shape of both bottle and holder, as well as the blue accents to the celluloid, which
is commonly found in just plain ivory, devoid of color.
The round rouge pot is also accented with blue in the form of a single initial monogram,
which I believe to be: M.
All pieces in the set are in very nice antique estate condition. The bottle and
stopper are both free of cracks or breaks, with just a few tiny, very minute flea
bites to bottom of stopper. A bit of perfume residue remains in each corner of bottle,
however I have not tried to clean interior, so this may rinse away.
The French Ivory perfume holder shows some light staining to interior bottom, but
is otherwise in very good condition, free of cracks, breaks, chips, etc.
The rouge pot is also very nice and similarly free of damage. Lid screws off. Inside
of lid has darkened over time, however interior of the jar itself is nice, showing
only a couple of tiny, light specks. Monogram does have a slight bit of wear.
The perfume holder is a slightly lighter shade of ivory than the pot.
Overall a really nice and very decorative early boudoir vanity or dressing table
set. Much of this early celluloid was made in Europe, mainly France.
