Totally Divine, very large vintage orange swansdown powder puff on a telescoping wand, complete with original box, c. 1920's ~ 1930's.

This wonderful early feather puff, likely French in origin, features the softest down and fine silk ribbon, with a period silver chrome wand.  It rests in the original patterned silver foil box.
The color was difficult to capture accurately in our pictures., but is probably best represented in the second image.  The orange is definitely Art Deco, yet it soft and not garish

This boudoir vanity puff is exceptionally nice vintage estate condition.  The feathers remain very full and nice, with a very faint powder fragrance and residue.  They could stand a fluffing, after having been sitting in this box for so many years.  The silk ribbon appears very good and strong, with no issues. The wand telescopes/extends perfectly and can be unscrewed from the puff for cleaning etc.  The box shows some oxidation to silver foil and slight edge wear to base edge, but is overall very sound, sturdy and presentable.

Due to the nature of this type of vanity item really nice examples are somewhat elusive and hard to find.

This very nice condition early powder puff would make an exceptional gift or fine addition to a discriminating vanity, boudoir, compact or perfume related collection.
