Wonderful Antique Point de Champ Princess Lace Boudoir, Breakfast or Theater Cap
A
really lovely period lace boudoir or theater cap, c. 1911 - 1917. This particular
wonderful early handmade example is formed completely of fine reseau tulle and tape
lace. The Point de Champ tulle is embellished with graceful tape lace flowers, leaves
and and embroidered tendrils. A similar very ornate pattern repeats in the surrounding
ethereal Princess lace.... more information

A nice turn of the century gentleman's boater hat, late Victorian
or early Edwardian, c. 1890 - 1910. Made of tightly woven straw and probably hand
finished. Interior leather band shows the 4 X mark, indicating the hat was a very

I must say this is one of my favorite ribbons ~ a divine antique watered silk sash, likely French and dating to the latter Victorian, or earlier Edwardian eras. The ribbon is a harder to find period example featuring watered or warped effect roses, as well as beautiful damask roses.
